Botanical Road brings quality plants, trusted advice, and considered growing solutions to the Pilbara, removing the guesswork and building confidence at every stage. Guided by plant lover Tiia and her hands-on expertise, the business is grounded in real experience and a genuine passion for helping plants (and people) thrive.
What began as a home nursery has grown into something more, a brand shaped by curiosity, learning, and years of working directly with plants in real conditions. Botanical Road exists to make growing feel approachable, practical, and rewarding, whether you’re just starting out or expanding an established collection.
What We Do
Botanical Road offers quality plants of all sizes, curated pots, handmade growing mixes, and carefully selected plant care products to support healthy, resilient growth. From the foundations of good soil to the tools that strengthen and protect plants, everything we offer is chosen or made with intention.
Alongside our products, we focus strongly on education and honest advice. We believe good plant care isn’t about luck, it’s about understanding, preparation, and using the right methods for the right environment.
Meet Botanical Road
Tiia Marjaana
Founder
Behind Botanical Road is Tiia, a long-time plant lover whose passion for growing is grounded in years of hands-on experience.
Originally from Finland, Tiia swapped –30°C winters for the Pilbara heat and has now called Karratha home for nearly 9 years. She’s worked with plants professionally for 8 years, including 2.5 years at the Pilbara’s largest retail nursery, building the knowledge and confidence that now guides everything Botanical Road does.
Tiia is a proud mum to two dogs, four parrots, one snake, and what she describes as “about a million houseplants.” Growing up, her mum wouldn’t allow pets, so naturally, Tiia decided she’d have her own farm one day instead.
Before plants took over completely, Tiia was meant to travel the world as a diver and even reached Divemaster qualification before realising it wasn’t the right fit. Turns out, plants were always the plan.
With an all-or-nothing mindset, equal parts determination and drive, Tiia brings heart, honesty, and deep care into everything she grows and shares.
